Thinking what should be in this essay took me a lot of time. The problem was not that I didn’t know why I need this mission but how to express everything I had in my heart and put it all together in this essay. It’s easier for me just talk to people rather than write letters or short messages, because it is impossible to communicate every thought, feeling or emotion through written words. Nevertheless I come back to the topic…
The first and I think the most important reason why I want to take part in MI7 is the desire to serve the Lord. I don’t want these words sound like cliche, because that what every believer is going to write in his or her essay…These words mean to me a lot. Serving the Lord is the commitment of a Christian to give time, efforts to spread Kingdom of God on the earth. To serve means first of all to have great responsibility in all that you do and spiritual strength to overcome obstacles that will appear on the way, and there will be many of them. Serving the Lord is thanksgiving to Him for everything He’s giving us, it’s something small we can do for Him, thanking for everything He has done for us.
Therefore I think that this project will be wonderful opportunity to serve God and other people, the opportunity to praise His name.
This project is the first grandiose event in my life which I’ll participate as a leader. This is my second reason, because this experience is very important and useful for my future ministry, first of all in church. I’ll gain experience of working with young people to continue the youth ministry.
The third reason is that I really enjoyed being in MI5 and MI6, because ‘twas so awesome there!!! I AWFULLY want to know what will be this year! And because no one says anything I have to become leader so that I could find out about everything!!!:) What is the post that only few people know what will happen in summer?!!!! Well, yeah, I understand it is meant to be a surprise, but it would be better if those few people and ME knew about the plans.:))) The fourth reason is that I want to fulfill Jesus words written in Acts 1:8, that we will be His witnesses to the ends of the earth and that we have to go and teach the Good News. That is why I want to be His witness everywhere where I can share the news about Jesus. Because missionary is the person who received God’s call to go anywhere God leads him or her and tell His Word. As I don’t know where this mission will lead me, I’m interested what a missionary I am.
The fifth reason is in following, I want my parents to have rest from me for 6-8 days, doesn’t convince you? Ask my parents and you’ll find out that this reason is one of the most important ones!:) I’m not saying that they have hard times with me; everyone should have time to relax!
The sixth reason is that I want to see my old friends who I met in previous mission projects, and of course to meet many new ones, because, indeed there is nothing better than communication with friends. I remember how cool it was when we saw each other after some time we haven’t seen and shouted: “HEY!!!! I’M SO GLAD TO SEE YOU!!! YOU’VE REALLY CHANGED!!!! HOW ARE YOU DOING?!! WHAT’S NEW!!!! GREAT, THAT YOU CAME AGAIN!!!”…and stuff like that. It isn’t less splendid to see new people, get to know them. It was super to realize at the end of the mission how many new friends I’ve made. It’s actually a blessing to have friends! That’s why I can’t wait to see them again, ask about everything and to have awesome time together. Incidentally when I heard how many people will partake in MI7 this year… 200 people!!!! THIS IS COOL!!! Even in plans it seems COOL!!! I bet it will be better in summer!!! To cut the long story short we won’t have problems with making friends. I’m not able to know all 200 people!!! Well, maybe 199 but not all 200!!!:)) It is interesting how leaders will cope with all of them? At the end the last, but not less important and honest reason which is… that…I want to have great time!:) Honestly:))) I hope it will be so. I don’t like the perspective of spending time at home doing nothing or watching TV. This opportunity to spend not only great and fun time but also make it useful is the best option for the time.
Therefore I think that my life needs MI7, because it will be used in it. I think I’ll get many impressions, find new friends, and spend wonderful time during the project. I’m sure God will use me as much as possible; I’ll feel that life is wonderful and joyful.
