Why I Want to Take Part in MI7

I have currently decided to begin writing my essay for two reasons. The first being that David requested it. The second and most important is being fearfully motivated by my mother to complete the task before me. I think I will start off with telling a little bit about myself. I absolutely love mission trips and this will be my sixth time returning to Ukraine. Ever since my first time in the country, I have fallen in love with it and the people that live in it. I plan to keep returning to Ukraine as long as the Lord allows me to. Now David has also asked for several reasons for my involvement in Mission Impossible 7.

The first being to share my faith with others. The most important thing that I may achieve in my life is bringing another person into the fold of God. That I may reflect God through my love and service of others. I pray that my actions everywhere, be it in Ukraine or America, show God in my life and that I walk in the light. All this that I may help fulfill a part God’s plan. Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."-Matthew28: 18-20

The second reason for my returning to Ukraine is to reunite with old friends and make new ones. The friends that I have made in Ukraine have changed my life in so many ways and are true brothers and sisters in Christ of mine. The friends I have made continually support me and bless me in my life and it is an honor to know each and every one of them. I am also excited to make new friends this year and I pray that the new relationships that I forge will be equally blessed by God as the others have been.

The third reason is that I may seek to know more about God. I pray that by learning more about God and His ways that I may be more like Him. To live my life in the best conceivable way possible that glorifies Him. By learning more about God I am able to share in more appropriate ways and confront the ways of the world. That I may stand as a warrior of God. That God’s will for my life shall be fulfilled.

Continuing onto the fourth reasons that I am coming to Ukraine is worship. The most peaceful and the most powerful times in my life occur while worshipping. I can barely wait for heaven in which everyday will be filled with worship. Last year one of the most wonderful things that struck me while worshipping was the different languages and cultures coming together to praise God. Also worship that is not constricted to being songs but by ever action that I make, that it may praise God.

The fifth reason is that I may strengthen my relationship with God. That by learning more about God my relationship with him will blossom. Every time I come back from Ukraine my faith and relationship with God is stronger. By knowing God better, the joy in my life has been multiplied by ten-fold. I see the beauty in everything God creates.

The sixth is to commune with other believers. That we may grow and encourage each other in Christ. Also that we may worship the Lord our God. It is simply amazing to be praising God with all the different languages and cultures each group comes from. That also our actions may worship God.

The final reason is that I may rekindle the passion of life that I have in God. Every time I return from Ukraine I am more passionate for the life God has given to me. Every sunrise is more beautiful, and praise fills my heart every time I see it. Every aspect of my life is sweeter and filled with the blessings of God. That the joy that I have in my life may burn like a wildfire so much so that it may spread to others around me.
